Joining PeacePlayers Basketball Summer Academy

On July 30th we rolled up to Watts Oasis to join PeacePlayers on their last day of summer camp to bring a little Hoopbus joy!

One of our favorite Nike coaches San Dixon led the kids in a fun filled day of basketball skills training, free hooping off the Hoopbus and even learning some footwork with our friends at Angel City FC.

A surprise visit from Chuck the Condor of the LA Clippers shared in the fun making some buckets on the Hoopbus and showing off his dance moves to the kids of Watts.

After playing we joined in a community circle sharing what we learned about ourselves that day. “Reflection is important.” - San Dixon

There was no better way than to end a summer’s day than to have some sorbet from Happy Ice!

Till next time,

Peace, Love and Basketball
