THE HOOPBUS STORY

It all began on the beach by the founders of Veniceball, at the courts many know as Hoopers Paradise (home of west coast street ball).

People visited from across the country and asked how they could bring this environment to their city or town. So near the end of 2019 the founders bought a 40ft yellow school bus, put some hoops on it and took it across the country!

Months later the basketball world was shocked by Kobe’s passing and they decided to design the bus around his legacy by collaging our roof which some of the original photos you can still see on this bus today. The artistic collaboration started to inspire so many and from there the bus became a vehicle of change from Black Lives Matter movement, to social justice campaigns.

Today we’ve grown to a fleet of 5 Hoopbuses across the country continuing to bring basketball to communities and unexpected places spreading the love of basketball.
